Role Overview
As a Business Development Associate, you will play a critical role in driving Matasma’s growth by identifying opportunities, nurturing customer relationships, and helping enterprise customers understand how intelligent decision systems can transform their financial and operational decision-making.
You will work closely with the Founder and Strategy team to translate market insights into actionable go-to-market initiatives, support deal cycles, and build a strong sales pipeline across consulting and SaaS offerings.
Key Responsibilities
1. Market & Pipeline Development
- Identify and qualify potential customers across finance, manufacturing, technology, and services sectors.
- Conduct research on target industries, CXOs, and organizations to uncover strategic entry points.
- Develop outreach strategies via LinkedIn, email, and events to build awareness and engagement.
- Maintain CRM hygiene and track progress from lead generation to conversion.
2. Customer Engagement & Solution Positioning
- Assist in discovery calls, understanding client needs, and mapping them to Matasma’s offerings (Decision Systems, CFO Intelligence Tools, AI-First Consulting).
- Prepare pitch decks, proposals, and business cases with tailored ROI narratives.
- Coordinate with internal product and consulting teams for demonstrations and solution alignment.
- Support end-to-end proposal management and follow-up communication.
3. Insights & GTM Enablement
- Track industry trends, competitor movements, and emerging AI/finance technology shifts.
- Develop content briefs and narratives for thought leadership posts, case studies, and webinars.
- Collaborate with marketing to drive visibility campaigns and build the Matasma brand presence.
- Analyze funnel data to suggest optimizations and feedback loops for the growth team.
Key Skills & Attributes
- Strong communication and storytelling ability, both written and verbal.
- Analytical and research-driven mindset with curiosity for AI, data, and finance.
- Comfort working in a startup or high-velocity environment.
- Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
- Familiarity with B2B SaaS, enterprise consulting, or finance technology domains is a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Engineering, or related fields.
- 1–3 years of experience in business development, pre-sales, or consulting (preferred but not mandatory).
- Passion for intelligent systems, AI-driven finance, and enterprise transformation.
